Regent’s Park was the location for this London family photography session last month. Our shoot took place over the course of lovely stroll around the park with Mum, Auntie and an adorable three year old boy in NW1. The gorgeous parks in our city are fantastic locations for London family photography at all times of the year, but especially during spring. Regent’s Park was just a treat – bursting into life with many of the trees heavy with blossoms. As a London children’s photographer I get to work with lots of families at different stages of growing up and they all have a charm whatever age the children are. I adore photographing the pre-school years, especially witnessing that ability to get lost in the magic of the moment. This little boy was no exception – he brought his spider cuddly toy along and happily chatted about how excited he is to learn about the planetary system. Lots of running around and exploring was the order of the day. The pre-school years for me are characterised by high energry and loads of activity usually followed by an urgent requirement for cuddles! There were plenty on hand during our shoot. It was great to see the trees finally in leaf and blossom with all those lovely juicy greens around. Having said that, I have a life long love affair with black and white photographs and love the simplicity and clarity monochrome brings to some of these images.
